In the course of writing this catalog I do
an enormous amount of research without which
the catalog would be dull indeed. So much of
the wonder of Fabergé is involved with
the history of the company, the recipients
of the Eggs and the persons who ordered the
Eggs and other objects, that it seems to me
impossible to enjoy them to their fullest without
knowing something of the background of the
individual pieces. In line with that I think
it is appropriate to mention all of the resources
that I use for this information.
