The enamel guilloché ground displays a wave pattern that makes the color spring to life; the clock encircled by a narrow band of Austrian crystals and the border of the frame chased in a laurel wreath design with Austrian crystals at the four corners. All of the exposed metal is 24 karat gold plated, the frame is backed in wood with a 24 karat gold plated easel. A charming and very distinctive piece.
