A one inch Egg, a replica of its namesake Egg, has a tiny hinge and clasp that allow it to open and reveal a silver gilt peacock standing on an enamel guilloché plinth with tail fully spread. The Peacock is studded with minute Austrian Crystals. The Egg has a bale so it can be worn hanging from a chain and when not being worn it has its own display stand of pale green enamel guilloché and silver gilt set on a base of Siberian Jade. The Egg is enamel guilloché in a delicate pale green with a golden trellis that is chased to indicate the diamond studding of the trellis that covers the original Egg, Pink roses wind their way up the trellis to the apex of the Egg. At the very base of the Egg is a cabochon ruby stone. Delicately beautiful, an elegant piece of jewelry.

NOTE: The original Imperial Rose Trellis Egg had a diamond necklace with an ivory miniature of the Grand Duke Tsaravich Alexei Nikolaievich as the surprise. It disappeared during the Revolution and has not been seen since.
