Enclosed in a white porcelain egg with bands of gold circling it is a handsome standing Unicorn with right foreleg raised. The Unicorn is completely pavéd in Austrian crystals. The animal appears throughout  early biblical and Greek history and in France was immortalized in the Cluny Tapestry, The Lady and The Unicorn, which it is thought was completed prior to the 16th century. Today the Unicorn is considered a sign of good fortune.
