A Limoges porcelain Egg hand
painted in relief to reproduce the appearance
of the original Kelkh Pine Cone Egg made for
Varvara Bazenov Kelkh by The House of Fabergé in
1900. Open, it displays an elephant pavéd
in crystals with its trunk raised. The
elephant and plinth on which it rests are plated
in 24 karat gold and the interior of the egg
is painted in gold. The clasp is the Romanov
double headed eagle. The plinth carries the
name Fabergé,
impressed, and the number of the Egg.
