The Egg is 5/8ths of an inch long and hangs from a delicate 24 karat gold plated 18 inch chain. The apex and base of the Egg are in deep blue enamel. The center section of the Egg is banded in white, has 4 gold dividers and is swagged in gold and hung with gold wreaths.

The case, made of Limoges Porcelain, is rectangular in shape with chamferred corners. It is hand painted and the design is worked to appear as chasing would on metal. The clasp, a Romanov Double Headed Eagle. The case carries the mark Fabergé Limoges.
